Whether you live in the modern day society, or you come from a long way back, taking a deep breath and throwing your voice across the valley from the top of a mountain has never changed.

The lungs, voice box(larynx) and the vocal chords are still the same.
What has changed a lot is what we can do to sound with the technology available to us today.
Recordings can be mastered to produce all sorts of effects on the singers voice, using digital effects sometimes to the point where we hardly need the vocalist at all. The engineer in the recording studio can almost do all the work for you.

However, as a student of voice production, forever learning, don’t you think it’s a great idea to be able to produce the sounds in the first place?
Play around with your voice all you like, but not until you have a good solid foundation to come back to, which will keep your voice in check and give you the ability to sing for many years to come.

When I published the “10 Essential Lessons For Easy Singing” at Voiceology Australia, my goal was to give people a solid foundation to build on, with vocal exercises to keep you in check, whether you are a beginner or a polished professional.
